Oooh, scandalous. I’m imagining a scene where they’re at a bar or something when someone gets a little too chummy.
Codsworth (Platonic): Codsworth gets super clingy with SS, doting over them like a protective mother. “Do you want some water, are you too hot/cold, shall I fetch you a snack?”
Cait (Platonic): Cait has the restraint to not cause any drama, but shuts down and simmers to herself. Later on in the night, she finally pops off and rants about the other person.
Cait (Romantic): Cait is even more annoyed, this time not even bothering to hide her emotions. When SS wanders off, she narrows her eyes and hisses at the other person. “Ye better tread lightly, lest you find yourself in a ‘situation’”.
Curie (Platonic): Curie is very confused at this new feeling inside of her. It feels like she’s burning and twisting inside. She goes into her shell, so to speak, and opens up about this perplexing new feeling later that night.
Curie (Romantic): Similar to last time, Curie feels extremely agitated at this other person and loses her cool. “You better stop what you’re doing this instant! You are making me feel agitated!” She shouts at the other person, unsure how to handle these new feelings.
Danse (Platonic): Danse keeps close to SS, never straying more than a couple meters away. SS was one of the most important people in his life, so he’s naturally protective. He makes a show of flexing a lot to send off a warning.
Danse (Romantic): He’s simmering inside, but still managing to keep a professional facade. He gives the other person stony, intense gazes and pulls SS into a deep kiss right in front of them. He gives them the message loud and clear to keep their distance.
Hancock (Platonic): Hancock was usually always in a relaxed, chill mood. However, when the newcomer arrived, all this went out the window. He fiddles with his coat and talks trash under his breath.
Hancock (Romantic): Same as before, but much more intense. He intertwines his hand with Sole’s, whilst boasting about his mayoral status. When the other person talks, he makes flippant comments.
MacCready (Platonic): “Wow, you guys seem to be getting along well.” He laughs weakly and makes little comments throughout the night, essentially guilting SS into spending more time with him.
MacCready (Romantic): MacCready gets Shakespearian in this bitch, gently caressing Sole’s cheek. “My love, a moment’s break from your gaze is an eternity past.” This gets so sappy that the other person gets uncomfortable and leaves.
Deacon (Platonic): Deacon’s jovial aura seems to dim in the face of his jealousy. His jokes seem to fall flat, and his signature smirk disappears from his face. He tries to act normal but everyone notices.
Deacon (Romantic): This time, Deacon’s jokes turn mean and cutting towards the newcomer. His stories become more wild and filled with grandeur to intimidate this annoyance away. Later on, he complains about them. “Can you believe the gall they had??”
Preston (Platonic): Preston disguises his jealousy as concern for Sole, relentlessly grilling the other person about every possible detail. “Where you from? What groups are you affiliated with? Dandy Boy Apples or Sugar Bombs?”
Preston (Romantic): He calls Sole a pet name practically every other sentence, all while bragging about all the settlements they saved, together. Gets a little touchy, holding Sole close and kissing their cheek.
Piper (Platonic): Piper practically gives this poor soul a rundown of her and Sole’s history. At the end of it all, she punctuates it with, “And here we are, the unbreakable duo, getting into trouble together.” Check. Mate.
Piper (Romantic): Now, Piper gets mouthy as all hell, borderline insulting them with sassy remarks. “Oh, what an… interesting outfit choice. You have a very ‘rustic’ appearance…” Hell, she’d escaped the Children of Atom, this person didn’t scare her.
Nick (Platonic): Nick was visibly in a tizzy, gazing off into the distance and tuning out. He’d never felt this emotion in quite some time, so it reappearing so quickly was very overwhelming. He shut down, so to say, and got quiet for the rest of the night.
Nick (Romantic): This new uncomfortable feeling was much more intense, so this other person was subject to dirty looks. Finally, he’s had enough and tells the other person “Scram, I’d like some time alone with my partner.”
X6 (Platonic): X6 talks this person’s ear off about how SS is ‘extremely important and deserves the utmost in respect.” His hard gaze through sunglasses scares the other person off.
X6 (Romantic): The same as before, but more aggressively. He punctuates his entire spiel with, “Now, if you wouldn’t mind, could you please get your ugly ass away from my significant other?”
Strong (Platonic): With all the finesse of a freight train barreling through a china shop, Strong simply screams and runs at the other person, sending them scrambling.
Dogmeat (Platonic): Pees on the person’s leg.
